READ: Acts 5:17-42
“Go
stand in the temple and tell the people the whole message about this life”
The
instruction came directly from God’s messenger while liberating the early Jesus-followers
from one of many jail stays.
Resistance
and persecution was a growing experience for the early adventurers. But, God’s
liberating, revitalizing power simultaneously
began to “fill the city” with new
hope. God intended freedom to be the
new norm of the city.
Municipal
leaders balked. But a wise councilman
named Gamaliel proffered that such a movement could not be stopped.

Recount
one story of God setting you free:
Might
God use your liberation story to liberate others in our city facing similar
circumstances?
Invitation:
Just
for fun, imagine that your personal liberation experience was made into a major
motion picture and viewed by the masses.
What actor would play you? How
might Earlysville become hope-filled?
